Safe as Churches VI–Conflict Workshop

I enjoyed being in Sydney this week from Wednesday to Friday for Safe as Churches VI.  It was a privilege to hear Rev Dr Marie Fortune share her reflections on Abuse, Boundaries and Institutional Responses and to hear about progress with the Royal Commission.

The conflict workshop gave a simple introduction to congregational tension especially as experienced in recovery or abuse allegation environments.  The presentation and a range of documents are linked to the remainder of this post.   I will update a couple of these as I process some mindmaps we created at the conference.

Renewal Retreat Facilitation Trainers Sydney

The Presbyterian Church of Australia in the State of NSW

Back to Sydney this week for several training sessions including a day with the training team for Presbyterian Renewal Retreat Facilitators for NSW, Victoria and Queensland.  It was good to hear the stories of clergy retreats, clergy wives retreats and women in ministry retreats.  Looking forward to meeting and working with other facilitators later in the year.

Notes from our session today are being uploaded into our shared dropbox.

Anglican Diocese of Melbourne–Eastern Region Clergy Conference August 2013

I enjoyed being with clergy at the Eastern Region Conference on Tuesday and Wednesday this week.

Over three sessions we looked at a range of areas related to sustainability in ministry.

The majority of these files are PDFs.  A couple are in Xmind form.  Several asked about the mind mapping program I used at the conference.  See www.xmind.com   This is free and cross-platform.
