I enjoyed being part of the Christian Mentoring Forum held at Doncaster Church of Christ on 17 and 18 April. The full notes and videos are available from the Australian Christian Mentoring Network Site. These are links to the session I conducted on Wednesday afternoon.
Coastlands Conference – Down to Earth Grace
It was wonderful to reconnect wih friends at Coastlands Baptist Church over the weekend sharing with them at their church conference. The topic we explored together was the grace of God. Saturdays sessions were entitled “Experiencing God’s Grace” and “Expressing God’s Grace”. On Sunday we looked at the Apostle Paul and the grace of God as it worked in and through him. Thanks for your warm hospitality and prayerful engagement with the teaching.
The notes from the three sessions are displayed below:

Salvation Army Tasmania–Northern Cluster Meeting April 2013
![]()
Our April gathering focussed on Mentoring Skills. We looked at what mentoring is, reasons people seek mentoring and what a 12 month mentoring process looks like on the ground.
The session began with an exploration of Barnabas and Saul / Paul and the mentoring relationship between them. – Some great discussion. Thanks.

Peace Train – New Website
The most commonly requested resources on my mentoring and leadership websites are to do with interpersonal and organisational conflict. I have organised these now onto a new website called Peace Train (i.e get some training around peacemaking skills…) This will become my new home for peacemaking, reconciliation, conflict resolution and forgiveness resources. Hope they are useful.
Salvation Army Northern Cluster Meeting March 2013
Wonderful to meet the new officers assigned to corps in the north of the state today at ETC. We spent some time reflecting on the nature of “shalom” and then listened to each other’s stories and background. The topic for reflection today was self care practices in ministry.
