One of the assignments I particularly enjoy each year is the residential training of facilitators for Ministry Renewal Retreats in Victoria. These retreats are a three year commitment for a group of pastors or leaders to journey together toward personal and leadership renewal. We know anecdotally that for each cycle of three years one person makes the decision to stay in ministry who would otherwise have left.
Ministry Renewal Retreats Victoria–Facilitators Training June 2014
It was good to have two days again this year with the facilitators of Ministry Renewal Retreat Groups in Victoria at the Upper Plenty Conference Centre. This year we covered the the history and outline of retreats, the multiplication process, dealing with diversity, ministry times, catch up days and briefly introduced mapping exercises.
All notes should now be in the group dropbox
Victorian Renewal Retreats – Facilitators Training
Wonderful to spend some time with the male and female facilitators of Victorian Ministry Renewal Retreats. We enjoyed gathering at Upper Plenty Conference Centre and working through a range of resources and processes for use in retreats. Most of these have now been added to our team dropbox.
Focus on Ministry–Facilitators Training Sydney
I enjoyed the opportunity to meet with 22 facilitators of Focus on Ministry retreats in Sydney on Monday. I love the Telford site at Port Hacking, sunny and relaxing looking out over the water. This year we covered Pastoral Review Processes, Understanding Church systems, Empowering Leadership and some new research on Burnout.
All the files have been updated and placed in our group dropbox.
