Self-Care and Resilience in Ministry – SMBC

It was great to return to Sydney Missionary and Bible College 8th – 12th July for a full intensive week teaching the Australian College of Theology Course PC073 on Self-Care and Resilience in Ministry.

The course included Biblical reflections on self-care and resilience, understanding the unique stresses and dynamics of ministry, managing adversity and crisis in ministry, rest, supportive relationships, the role of emotional intelligence in self-care and resilience, and more.

The notes and resources made available to students through the course are on the SMBC moodle interface.

Chaplaincy Australia Supervision and Mentoring Training

Tim appreciated the invitation to return to the Chaplaincy Australia National Conference via Zoom for sessions on mapping supportive relationships and assisting supervisees and mentees rebalance after a significant loss in their supportive relational network. The presentations and handouts have been emailed out to all who participated in the conference. Great to see many that I knew online.

Presbyterian Church of Queensland – Church Health Facilitation Team Training

It was great to go back to Lake Moogerah south-west of Brisbane to conclude the foundational training for the Presbyterian Church of Queensland Church Health Facilitation Team. This was their third live-in, workshop 7 in the training program. We covered trauma informed consulting and the remaining specialist training areas of staff and leadership reviews, governance, recovery, vision and strategic planning.

The notes and resources can be found in the SharePoint folder.
