Churches of Christ in Victoria and Tasmania Consultancy Training – Workshops 12 and 4

imagesOn Tuesday the first Church Consultancy training group for the Churches of Christ concluded their basic training program.  In Workshop 12 we dug a little deeper into some of the theology of the Kingdom of God and its relation to the church, reviewed consultancy competencies, and looked at three current consultations.  Notes for the workshop are on our new website.

On Wednesday, the second group covered church size dynamics, transitions and change management principles and processes with the training team made up of Robyn Millership, Peter Broadbent and myself.  Notes for this workshop are on our new site.

Salvation Army–Northern Cluster November

Our final session for the year covered church systems, and explored how to detect and change some of the hidden rules, roles and rituals that govern church life.  Great to meet at ETC again.   Blessings on those leaving the cluster and moving to other roles and locations.  We look forward to welcoming new members next year.   Links to the notes are below.

Workshop 6 in our Church Consultancy Training program covered issues do with governance in local churches and in Christian organisations.  After looking at the principles of governance, we reflected on the implications of the popular Carver model for churches.  Governance and church size were looked at along with principles for balancing executive leadership and governance in local churches.

I have been notified by Google that as of January our Google Groups site will be unable to provide the services we need. So from this workshop I am in the process of moving all information over to a new Google Site
