This Tuesday the Churches of Christ Consultancy Team looked at Phase 2 of Recovery Processes for churches impacted by professional misconduct. Along side some practical skilling in meeting processes and a case study on abuse, we looked at how to facilitate services of healing, hope and comfort in times of distress. Presbyterian Consultancy Team Training–The Venue, Bellambi
I am just home from another enjoyable few days from Wednesday to Friday catching up with the Presbyterian Church Consultancy team at the Venue in Bellambi. Apart from reviewing current consultancies, we looked at Vision work in local churches, Supervision Processes and the Leadership Practices model as a basis for work with pastors.

Presbyterian Churches of Australia (NSW and ACT) Church Consultancy Training
It was great to spend the last couple of days at The Venue, Illawarra, with the PCA Consultancy Team and also meet some new team members. In our residential training we looked at a range of basic and specialist consultancy skills. Our training notes have all been uploaded to our shared Drop Box and should be available to the team. I have now included some of the notes we generated in sessions as a part of brainstorms and “live” Critical Issues Analysis.
Baptist Union of NSW and ACT–Church Consultancy Training – November 2010
Workshop 6 in our Church Consultancy Training program covered issues do with governance in local churches and in Christian organisations. After looking at the principles of governance, we reflected on the implications of the popular Carver model for churches. Governance and church size were looked at along with principles for balancing executive leadership and governance in local churches.
I have been notified by Google that as of January our Google Groups site will be unable to provide the services we need. So from this workshop I am in the process of moving all information over to a new Google Site.
Churches of Christ Conference of Victoria and Tasmania Consultancy Training Workshops 2 and 10
Team A for the Churches of Christ Vic Tas Conference met on Tuesday for Workshop 10 in our Consultancy Training. Team B followed up on Wednesday with their Workshop 2 facilitated by Robyn, Mark and Peter as trainers. Both groups have access to the current google groups site linked below. A new collective site will be coming online in the next couple of weeks. Team A returned to some advanced skills in Proactive Consulting. In Team B we are still laying down some foundational processes in the standard consultancy process.
