Tim and I joined the Parish Recovery Team via Zoom today because of concerns about COVID.
We reflected by reflecting on Psalm 81 then reflected on 6 basics of self-care. We then moved to the six principles of trauma informed care (promote trauma awareness, safety, control, strength, connection, and belief in recovery) then reflected on Parish Based Recovery Groups as part of parish recovery.

Luke and Tim enjoyed catching up with Elders and Church Council members in Adelaide on the 11th of July.

The last time Tim taught the ACT Course on Empowering Leadership at Sydney Missionary and Bible College was a week short of the 2020 COVID lockdowns around the country.
We have all learned a great deal about leadership through the pandemic and the lessons keep coming now we are COVID normal.
It was great to have a full intensive week 4th – 8th July to rework the course with leaders who are all out in contexts in which empowering others is an important part of their ministries.
The course covered Biblical reflections on leadership, engagement with contemporary theories of leadership, empowering leadership skills and key areas in which empowerment is used in the church.
