Difficult Conversations–Salvation Army–Adelaide & Perth September 2017

Good to be out west in Perth on Monday for a day of Difficult Conversations training with the Salvation Army. Back to Adelaide for Wednesday and Thursday for the same training module at Ingle Farm. Following are the notes from the day and links to the brainstorms for each day.

Brimbank Salvation Army Corps Weekend Camp
Great to spend the weekend at the Lady Northcote YMCA camp with the Brimback Salvation Army Corps. We looked at spiritual growth through the lens of using our grace gifts to serve one another, learning what to put on and putt off in the Christian life and following the guidance of a mentor (in this case Paul as he works with Timothy).

Salvation Army Cluster–November Meeting
We held our final meeting for the year at ETC this morning. Building on last session we spent some time in discussion and bible study on the Holy Spirit. We looked at some principles articulated by Gordon Fee in God’s Empowering Presence.
After planning our Layered Learning Event for this weekend, we looked at Building Spiritual Resilience.
