Healthy churches need two interacting forms of leadership: the pastoral / ministry leadership team and the governing team. In this workshop Tim talks through the processes involved in keeping this relationship in good shape – ie both groups learning how to empower each other and to be accountable to each other.
The church is an ordinary human organisation at the same time as it is the bride of Christ and family of God. Leading God’s people requires not only human wisdom and experience but a collective spirituality which arises from the church’s nature as God’s people. In this workshop Tim explores collective spiritual practices of leadership.
Still clear, sunny and warm in Brisbane for another day of training in Conflict Management skills. This time for a team of clergy and lay who may form the basis of a conflict consultancy team. We met at St Francis College for the day to explore the dynamics of conflict and a range of interpersonal and group facilitation processes.

It has been a pleasant change to have a few days in Brisbane over our Tasmanian winter. Friday was a day of training and equipping for Priests in Charge in the Diocese of Brisbane around the management of Parish Conflict.
