I always enjoy the first training day of a new EPIC (Enabling Priests in Charge) cycle. It was great to listen to the wide range of self-care strategies already in place for clergy and to help them reflect on additional strategies. I enjoyed hearing Grant Bickerton present his research findings yet again.
Presbyterian Church NSW and ACT–Church Health Consultancy Team

Great to be back near the beach at Wollongong (Bellambi) for another church health consultancy team training for the PCA. We began a new round of team training staring in this year with a new group of experienced church leaders training as part of the consultancy team. All notes in the dropbox.
Churches of Christ Conference of Queensland Renewal Retreat Facilitators Training
This last week I enjoyed a two day training workshop with the team of men and women who facilitate Renewal Retreats in Queensland with the Churches of Christ Conference. Great to meet up with some old friends and meet many of the newer facilitators.
We have established a dropbox system to share notes and this is now active.
Darling Downs Presbytery Retreat
I had never been up to the Bunya Mountains in SE Queensland before, so it was great to have Monday leading four sessions at the Darling Downs Presbytery retreat.
We looked at life cycles in rural churches, consultancy processes, and systemic health in churches. Great to meet many of the ministers in this region.

I enjoyed the opportunity to be a guest lecturer in the Pastoral Care Skills course at Sydney Missionary and Bible College this evening. We worked through dimensions of church conflict and considered pastoral aspects of understanding and responding to conflict.
