I enjoyed Monday afternoon with the Trainers for our new team of consultants with Churches of Christ in Victoria and Tasmania. We scheduled our next training day and looked at our consultancies in progress and the ones coming up.

I enjoyed catching up with friends at Pathway to Life church on Sunday and sharing on the topic of Fellowship. We spent some time unpacking the idea of ‘koinonia’, the NT word that is often translated fellowship but actually has a far richer and deeper set of connotations including partnership, participation, giving, supporting and standing with each other. We talked about the basis of fellowship and reflected on the implications together.

At the invitation of a local church, I spent the day Saturday facilitating a session on church Governance. Some of the key issues covered were:

I enjoyed being back again at ETC Cafe with the Northern Cluster of Salvation Army officers for our July gathering. This month the focus was on team formation and leadership skills. Accompanying notes follow in this post.
It was wonderful to spend another 3 days with the Facilitators of John Mark Ministries Pastors Renewal Retreats in Victoria this week. Training included facilitation skills, work on conflict and anxiety and handling pastoral situations within the retreat environment.
