Parish Support Teams serve the Diocese of Melbourne through assisting parishes in times of conflict and tension. Tim and Luke are involved in training the team. It was good have have an update training day via Zoom today.
Another full day of training for facilitators for Ministry Renewal Retreats at St James Old Cathedral in Melbourne. Our normal cycles of renewal retreats run over three years and then groups either multiply or reform. Victorian Retreats are non-denominational. Contact us to find out more.
We began with a Biblical reflection on Mark 1:16-20 led by one of the participants. We then looked at cultivating supportive relationships, revisited some of the core processes and facilitation skills, and reviewed the Renewal Retreat Facilitator Covenant.
The new resources have been uploaded to our shared Dropbox.
I was pleased to spend a day looking at team building with the Specialised Consultancy Team at the Ministry and Learning Centre in Macquarie Park. We reflected on Ephesians 4:16, considered the 5 Types of Team Meetings and Informal Team Roles, looked at a case study, and finished with Four Pathways for Team Development.
The notes and resources can be found in SharePoint.
Luke and I spent time training the Church Health Facilitation Team via Zoom this morning. We introduced the specialist training area of conflict. This included frameworks to assess conflict and tools to help churches prepare for it.
The notes and resources can be found in the SharePoint folder.
Tim and I spent the day in Hurstville filming Self-Care for Ministry Workers content to be released through TSS as part of their commitment to equipping churches in Southern Sydney and beyond. Go to Transform Southern Sydney to read more about their mission.
