Safe as Churches VI–Conflict Workshop
I enjoyed being in Sydney this week from Wednesday to Friday for Safe as Churches VI. It was a privilege to hear Rev Dr Marie Fortune share her reflections on Abuse, Boundaries and Institutional Responses and to hear about progress with the Royal Commission.
The conflict workshop gave a simple introduction to congregational tension especially as experienced in recovery or abuse allegation environments. The presentation and a range of documents are linked to the remainder of this post. I will update a couple of these as I process some mindmaps we created at the conference.
Salvation Army September Cluster Meeting
Great to have another morning with the Northern Officers from the Salvation Army at our monthly cluster meeting. We spent a little time today exploring sub-conscious processes. Notes are linked here.

Renewal Retreat Facilitation Trainers Sydney
Back to Sydney this week for several training sessions including a day with the training team for Presbyterian Renewal Retreat Facilitators for NSW, Victoria and Queensland. It was good to hear the stories of clergy retreats, clergy wives retreats and women in ministry retreats. Looking forward to meeting and working with other facilitators later in the year.
