The first cluster meeting for 2011 took place at ETC today. As well as sketching out the topics to be covered this year, we spent some time reflection on Luke 9 and looked at self care strategies in Christian leadership.

Training Workshop 4 for Parish Recovery Teams in the Anglican Diocese of Sydney
I enjoyed our first training day of the year in Sydney, even though the heat was a challenge for us all. Workshop 4 covered an introduction to some of the systemic dynamics of congregations in recovery including anxiety and conflict. Links to the notes are on our secure website.
Accessing Google Sites associated with John Mark Ministries
As of the end of this year I will be closing all of the Google groups associated with training programs run through John Mark Ministries. This is due to some changes Google is making to the way groups operate. They will be replaced with Google Sites which will serve me better although there is some work in transferring the files, pages and posts across.
Please note you will not have to change any account details you already have with Google. Your Google account which worked with Google Groups will now work with Google sites once I have transferred your username across.
The sites are all linked to John Mark Ministries, so Google assumes users will have a John Mark Ministries email address. This is not the case so to login, you will need to use the username of your Google account in the place indicated below”.

Churches of Christ in Victoria and Tasmania Consultancy Training – Workshops 12 and 4
On Tuesday the first Church Consultancy training group for the Churches of Christ concluded their basic training program. In Workshop 12 we dug a little deeper into some of the theology of the Kingdom of God and its relation to the church, reviewed consultancy competencies, and looked at three current consultations. Notes for the workshop are on our new website.
On Wednesday, the second group covered church size dynamics, transitions and change management principles and processes with the training team made up of Robyn Millership, Peter Broadbent and myself. Notes for this workshop are on our new site.
