Renewal Retreat Facilitator Training – Tasmania

Tim and I spent the day at Riverlands in Longford where Tim trained experienced and new renewal retreat facilitators.

Renewal Retreats were established by Rev Les Scarborough around 35 years ago. Each retreat group meets for three residential retreats (one a year) and a number of day retreats between residentials. Groups have around 8 members who are asked to make a covenant commitment to a shared process of renewal for the full three years. In journeying together towards renewal, the group becomes a transformational support and growth community, encouraging each member in their lives, ministries and leadership. While the retreat process is facilitated by two equipped members, much is open to the input and decision making of the group.

Groups are functioning in many denominations and also operate non-denominationally in several states. In Tasmania, three new groups are starting this year. If you are interested contact Helen Ridley dhridley@netspace.net.au

Resources from the training are in the shared Dropbox.
