Baptist Churches of NSW and ACT Church Consultancy Training Workshop 4 – Tim Dyer

The theme of today’s consultancy training workshop was change and transition in churches, particularly the transition of pastoral leaders. We began the morning with a reflection on leadership in the wilderness time – Moses and Exodus style. This was adapted from some of William Bridges work on change. We looked at facilitating Pastors leaving churches well and considered an example of a consultancy around this topic. An update on a current consultancy the team is working on gave us plenty to reflect on after lunch and we finished the day exploring transitional consultancies and reflected on the 5 developmental tasks involved.
