John Mark Ministries participated in three training seminars in Professional Standards for Ministers with the Anglican Church Diocese of Sydney on Thursday 15th and Friday 16th of May. The training was based on the 2007 revision of Faithfulness in Service, the national code for personal conduct and pastoral ministry in the Anglican Church. Over three sessions, Tim outlined the 4 sources of relational power in ministry, reflected on common areas of stress and finally examined personal and corporate practices which enable effective, godly and professional ministry. Parish Recovery Teams Training – Anglican Church Diocese of Sydney
Training Workshop 9 in this program was held on Wednesday 14 May at West Concord and covered an extended overview of the whole recovery process, a number of final reports for parishes and some specific training and resourcing in mediation skills. Church Health Coaching – Workshop 2 Churches of Christ Vic – Tas
Tim enjoyed catching up with the new Victorian Coaching Team on Tuesday May 13 in Melbourne. The day covered a more detailed outline of the standard coaching process, case studies on two current consultancies and some further clarification of diagnostic tools and processes. Mentor Equipping Residential Workshop 7 (Christian Brethren Fellowships of Victoria)
It was great to be back at Philip Is for the final residential of our Victorian Training Program with CBFV. Over four days we refined and integrated our mentoring skills and gathered a range of resources for ongoing mentoring. Again the training notes are organised under each training objective on the MOODLE site and resources are accessed from the Mentor Exchange.
